THE NORTHSTAR APPROACH
Less guesswork. More informed decisions.
A reason to bid. Or to pass.
Understand the fit before committing time to a response.
Clear requests for information.
Know which documents, details and decisions are needed from you.
Claims backed by evidence.
Proposals grounded in your actual experience and qualifications.
Your business. Your commitments.
You approve the price, promises and final submission.
We review your services, service area and registration status to assess whether our bid support could suit your business. We may ask for missing information, then discuss a suitable next step. Submitting a request does not start paid proposal work. Scope and fees are agreed in writing before work begins.
Is this a good fit for my business?
Our focus is established, owner-operated businesses that can deliver their services or supplies but need help preparing a federal bid. Active SAM registration is a useful starting point. We assess each opportunity against your capabilities, location, experience and the solicitation’s requirements.
Do I need an active SAM registration?
We focus on businesses with active SAM registration, a UEI and a CAGE code. If your registration is pending or you’re unsure, you can indicate that in your enquiry. Eligibility and registration requirements must be checked for each opportunity. SAM.gov registration is free. Visit SAM.gov (opens in a new tab).
What does NorthStar prepare?
Depending on the agreed scope, we research opportunities, review requirements, organize a checklist and help prepare the proposal using information you provide. We can also track amendments during the agreed support period. You verify your company’s claims and approve pricing and the final submission.
Who bids and performs the contract?
Your business is the bidder and performs any awarded contract. NorthStar provides bid support. You retain control of the commitments you make and approve the final submission; submission responsibilities are agreed in writing.
What does it cost?
Fees depend on the opportunity and the support agreed. Before paid work starts, we agree the deliverables, exclusions, fees, payment terms and each party’s responsibilities in writing.
Can you guarantee a contract award?
No. Contract awards are not guaranteed. We help you evaluate opportunities and prepare a response, but the government makes the award decision.
Can you help with an opportunity I already found?
Yes. Share the public solicitation link and a short description of your business. We can assess the requirements and discuss the support you need. Do not send sensitive or controlled documents through this website.
